GO ASU!!

Today we went to the ASU vs. UCLA game. It was so much fun! It was nice to have a night out & do something different. We even wore matching ASU shirts ... yes, my idea. Here are some pics of our night...

ASU ended up winning & all the students rushed onto the court. It was a great game even though we weren't very familiar with the team this year. Hope everyone had a great week!

Back to School

Today was Tyler's first day back at school on campus. He started his online classes last week. Of course I had to take a picture to document the event! And....of course Tyler wasn't cooperative!

I think I drive him crazy sometimes! It's good for him =0)

I LOVE Photoshop! I was messing around with it tonight & figured out how to make cool borders!!

One of those days...

Today I have been in a total funk! I decided to work from home because I have a ton of marketing work to do and it is so much easier to do it at home than get interrupted at the office all day. However... I keep getting distracted with the Inauguration, organizing my Itunes & catching up on TMZ.com. I have a tendency to procrastinate when I have a lot to do. So I haven't made too much progress on work. Then I was talking to my friend Melanie while she was baking a recipe from Bakerella.com. It sounded soo yummy! So off to the store I went!


You guys have to try it! Of course I messed it up by buying the wrong brownie mix & forgetting the semi-sweet chocolate morsels for the Chocolate Ganach. I also had no idea there was something called whipping cream! It was in a recipe I made not too long ago & I had used Cool Whip thinking that is what they meant... good thing for friends like Melanie for informing me of this fact! Of course I didn't confess my retardism to her heheh. But anyway, it worked out because I had accidentally bought the brownie mix that comes with the chocolate frosting! They are so good, but I am sure the correct version is much better. Click on the pic above from Bakerella to go to the website.

In other Vowles news, Tyler started school this week. He is keeping busy with online courses and one class on campus. He has so much on his plate... from work, school, & his church calling yet he still manages to do great at them all! I love him! =0)

I MADE A CRAFT!

Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays! I have ZERO Valentines decorations & I decided that needed to change today. After work I went to Hobby Lobby for the first time & I've fallen in love!! GREAT STORE! Anyway, I bought the letters, paint, and wreath hanger then came home & painted the letters. I Then hot glued it all together and attached the wreath hanger. UNFORTUNATELY the wreath hanger is too thick and when I hang it on any ( I tried them all!) of my doors, I am unable to shut the door! CRAP!

So now it will stay on the one door that never closes... our office. If you decide to make something like this, make sure the wreath hanger fits first!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas & New Years! Tyler & I spent New Years Eve asleep. We both came home not feeling well so we slept until 11:40ish & then watched the ball drop. TOTALLAY LAME-O but oh well!

We woke up this morning feeling much better and decided to go out to breakfast & then to hike in Usery Park with Dusty.

We wish everyone a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR... I won't tell you my new year resolutions because I probably won't keep them =0D.

IT'S BEGINNING....

TO FEEL A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS! This is the first year in a loongg time that I am actually excited about the Christmas season. I think the years of working retail during the holidays turned me into a Scrooge for awhile. But within the past few days something changed!

Tyler was gone all day on Saturday so I decided to put up the X-mas tree & surprise him when he got home. Here is out it turned out...

This year I had to cram it into our eat-in kitchen area because our living room is acting as a storage unit at the moment.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Good luck getting all those decorations up!

Grandpa's 80th B-DAY!

Today was my Grandpa's 80th B-day. All of my family that was in town got together and surprised him with a party at Fuddruckers. Tyler was MIA...busy working, but it was fun getting the Gould clan together.

Prez Obama

WOW! What an election! I am still unsure how I feel about the whole thing other than I am happy it is over! NO MORE TV ADS! Obama was not my choice for President. I totally felt, and still believe that McCain has the experience we need...especially on foreign issues. I am still nervous about where our country is going & now who will be leading us. I hope I am wrong, & Barack Obama ends up being the best President we've ever had! I understand this has been a huge historical event for our country, especially to African Americans. Many never thought they would see this happen in their lifetime. I am hoping in the coming days people will start to change their focus from the historical achivement to the issues that need to be taken care of immediately. Anyway, I wont bore you with my long opinion on this issue.

On a happy note.... Prop 102 passed! I volunteered for three hours on November 3rd to call and remind people to get out & vote, especially YES on 102! Hopefully the little old lady with the bad hip (I heard her whole life story) was able to make it to the polls!

IF YOU ARE STILL DECIDING...

I usually don't talk about politics with friends and family, but I feel this election is very different. This is the first election that I have kept my TV tuned on the news and watched all the debates. I feel there is CLEARLY a better choice to make on November 4th, especially because one choice will most likely eliminate our checks and balance system. There are many reasons why I know John McCain is the right candidate, but this video highlights some of the major reasons. It is a long video but definitely worth your time. Please pass it along and vote on Election Day!!

Fun on the Lake!

We had a great Anniversary! It started out with Tyler bringing me home some roses after work.
Then we headed off to Longhorn Steakhouse for some yummy dinner my parents treated us to (Thanks Mom & Dad!). Then we went to my NEW FAVORITE PLACE! Sprinkles, the cupcake place in Scottsdale.

We then made our way to Tempe Town Lake to go pedal boating and eat our cupcakes.

He's so silly!

It was a wonderful date! I think I'm in trouble now that I know about that Black & White Cupcake from Sprinkles... OH MY GOODNESS! YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!

4 Years!

Thursday is our 4th Anniversary! I can't believe it has already been four years! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband, he is perfect for me. I could get all mushy, but I'll spare you! I have no idea what we are going to do to celebrate. We both have a busy week and weekend, but I will post about what we end up doing. Anyway, here are some pics of my favorite memories with Tyler.
