IT'S BEGINNING....

TO FEEL A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS! This is the first year in a loongg time that I am actually excited about the Christmas season. I think the years of working retail during the holidays turned me into a Scrooge for awhile. But within the past few days something changed!

Tyler was gone all day on Saturday so I decided to put up the X-mas tree & surprise him when he got home. Here is out it turned out...

This year I had to cram it into our eat-in kitchen area because our living room is acting as a storage unit at the moment.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Good luck getting all those decorations up!

Grandpa's 80th B-DAY!

Today was my Grandpa's 80th B-day. All of my family that was in town got together and surprised him with a party at Fuddruckers. Tyler was MIA...busy working, but it was fun getting the Gould clan together.

Prez Obama

WOW! What an election! I am still unsure how I feel about the whole thing other than I am happy it is over! NO MORE TV ADS! Obama was not my choice for President. I totally felt, and still believe that McCain has the experience we need...especially on foreign issues. I am still nervous about where our country is going & now who will be leading us. I hope I am wrong, & Barack Obama ends up being the best President we've ever had! I understand this has been a huge historical event for our country, especially to African Americans. Many never thought they would see this happen in their lifetime. I am hoping in the coming days people will start to change their focus from the historical achivement to the issues that need to be taken care of immediately. Anyway, I wont bore you with my long opinion on this issue.

On a happy note.... Prop 102 passed! I volunteered for three hours on November 3rd to call and remind people to get out & vote, especially YES on 102! Hopefully the little old lady with the bad hip (I heard her whole life story) was able to make it to the polls!

WOW... good thing we didn't! Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to grow up in the 50's, 60's or 70's. I loved growing up in the 80's and 90's. Who could live without Saved By The Bell!!?! I found this the other day and it brought back many 90's memories...

IF YOU ARE STILL DECIDING...

I usually don't talk about politics with friends and family, but I feel this election is very different. This is the first election that I have kept my TV tuned on the news and watched all the debates. I feel there is CLEARLY a better choice to make on November 4th, especially because one choice will most likely eliminate our checks and balance system. There are many reasons why I know John McCain is the right candidate, but this video highlights some of the major reasons. It is a long video but definitely worth your time. Please pass it along and vote on Election Day!!

Fun on the Lake!

We had a great Anniversary! It started out with Tyler bringing me home some roses after work.
Then we headed off to Longhorn Steakhouse for some yummy dinner my parents treated us to (Thanks Mom & Dad!). Then we went to my NEW FAVORITE PLACE! Sprinkles, the cupcake place in Scottsdale.

We then made our way to Tempe Town Lake to go pedal boating and eat our cupcakes.

He's so silly!

It was a wonderful date! I think I'm in trouble now that I know about that Black & White Cupcake from Sprinkles... OH MY GOODNESS! YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!

4 Years!

Thursday is our 4th Anniversary! I can't believe it has already been four years! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband, he is perfect for me. I could get all mushy, but I'll spare you! I have no idea what we are going to do to celebrate. We both have a busy week and weekend, but I will post about what we end up doing. Anyway, here are some pics of my favorite memories with Tyler.

Tyler started a new semester! I managed to get a few pics of him... can you tell how excited he is! Im so proud of him & how hard working he is. He does well at everything he does, so I'm sure he'll do AWESOME this semester!

I decided I wanted to get back into photography. I took classes all through High School and really enjoyed it. I only take pictures when we are listing homes or on trips with Tyler. Tyler went along with me to the Temple to take some pictures. Here are some of my fav's...

I THOUGHT THOSE DAYS WERE LONG GONE

It's kind of funny... just the other day I was thinking how it had been such a long time (4 years) since my days of countless times being pulled over. I would estimate that I have recieved tickets 50% of the time... pretty good right?!

This evening I was pulled over by a lovely ASU police officer for not making a COMPLETE stop at an itsy bity tiny little intersection in the ASU East housing neighborhood. The kind gentlemen, who took his job WAYY too seriously, immediately turned on his colorful lights & bright spotlight. I pulled over & was greeted with a flash light in my eyes. He asked for my license, registration, & proof of insurance.

After searching through my glove compartment & purse... I kindly handed him an old license, expired proof of insurance, & my registration. He returned to his flashing vehicle.

As I was sitting there for what seemed like an hour another police car pulls up. Now I get to wondering if maybe they found those warrants for my arrest from my days of bank robbing! I decide to turn some music on & text a few people while I wait.

Anyway, finally Mr. Police Officer comes back and has a lengthy ticket written for me including 3 citations. Are you ready!?!
1) License not in possession (I gave him an old one)
2) No proof of insurance ( I gave him an expired one)
3) No registration card in vehicle ( I gave him the WRONG vehicles (the jetta's) registration! oops!)

I told him I'm sure I have the minis registration & he said it was too late, I had my opportunity to give him the correct one. He assumed my car was stolen & had to call it in and verify. I guess that's why he called for back up! Don't you think it would have been easier to just ask me? I guess I look like the car stealing type! Oh well!

The "kind" officer told me all of these violations can be fixed by taking all of those documents to the court. So basically he didn't cite me for the stop sign and gave me a bunch of busy work. THANK A LOT! Needless to say, Cops bother me. Too bad my husband is in the process of becoming one! hehe lol.

Friends...

I was going through a closet trying to figure out space for our camping stuff...yes I am just now finishing unpacking! And I found a box that said "CAUTION DO NOT OPEN." That could only mean one thing! Old pictures & notes from High School!! I sat there forever reading notes and remembering fun times. I still keep in touch with my good friends from school, so I decided to post some of the best memories I have over the years...

Dances were always fun, especially when we went with each other in a group! I have protected the identity of the the poor boys from that dance that went with Elizabeth, Melanie, & I. James is cool since he married his date...that date must have went well ;0)Our first trip on our own... unfortunately it was to EFY. (We are in the bottom row... please forgive us for the Charlies Angel pose!) Between leaving campus for a burger (big no no) to a blown out tire & locking the keys in the car at the mall, we managed to survive.

Classes together... Poor Mr.Feldmiller! He was so nice, but always fell for our jokes. He changed schools after our class ended, we have theories. Melanie's infamous "dirty looks." You never knew when you were going to get one, but they were always well deserved.
Wherever we were going, there was karaoke in the car!
The occasional lapse in good decision making. We were always there to help each other, and now we look back and laugh about it.

Now that we are all grown up, changed, & live in different cities... it's nice to stay in touch and remember the crazy fun times we had!

Camping Trip

We got back from our camping trip! We were able to spend a lot of time with our nieces, Madison & Olivia. They are growing up so fast!
